Tunisian troops in MINUSCA extended

Tunis, 28 April 2026 | LAMINE MEDIA) By decree, published in the Official Gazette last Friday, the Tunisian light infantry force, which is operating within MINUSCA in the Central African Republic, has been extended for a further year, effective from 22 May 2026. These troops have been in the Central African Republic since 2022. On the ground, they are responsible in particular for protecting civilians against armed gangs, securing deployment areas, ensuring the protection of United Nations personnel and facilities, and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid. They also participate in DDR (Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration) operations.
