Touadéra is back in Bangui
By Mathias LA NOUVELLE CENTRAFRIQUE l LNC Translated into English by Karen Ann SULLIVAN l LNC
(Bangui, 19 April 2026 | LAMINE MEDIA) He returned to Bangui on Thursday evening following his attendance at the inauguration ceremonies of the Congolese leader Denis Sassou-N’Guesso, aged 89, 41 of which he has spent in power – a young man, really! It should be noted that the ceremony, held in Brazzaville, brought together several heads of state and dignitaries who had come to show their support for the region’s immovable dictator; let us point out that, like Touadéra, he rigged the elections to his own advantage – who is the mad one? As the old saying by Senghor goes: ‘You don’t organise elections to lose them.’ Finally! On his arrival in Bangui M’Poko, Touadéra was welcomed by the Prime Minister, Félix Moloua, members of the Government and the Presidential Cabinet, as well as several senior military and security officials. Among them were the Chief of the Defence Staff, General Zéphirin Mamadou, and the Director-General of the Police, Bienvenu Zokoe.
