Moloua meets MINUSCA

(Bangui, 29 May 2026 | LAMINE MEDIA) One of the world’s longest-running peacekeeping missions, MINUSCA in the Central African Republic, is considering packing up after 10 years in the country. Yesterday, early in the morning, Félix MOLOUA, the Central African Prime Minister, granted an audience to Valentine Rugwabiza, the head of MINUSCA. At the centre of the discussions: the reconfiguration of MINUSCA, and the forthcoming handover of several bases to the Central African authorities. The handover of seven bases to the Central African authorities is planned (incidentally, the army is not ready, given the chaos reigning there), and the CAR does not have the same resources as MINUSCA. The head of MINUSCA delivered a standard speech to thank Touadéra – one wonders exactly what for, given that he does not like them, preferring his Russian mercenaries.
