EU Day

(Bangui, 13 May 2026 | LAMINE MEDIA) As there are world days for just about everything, 9 May marked the celebration of Europe Day. On this occasion, the EU Ambassador to Bangui, Diego Escalona Paturel, emphasised the EU’s commitment to supporting the Central African authorities in their efforts to stabilise the country, particularly in regions affected by armed conflict. It is worth noting that the European Union is not vindictive, given all the ill will that Central Africans harbour towards it. This European Union, like all ‘international partners’ such as the World Bank, has the Central African Republic wrapped around its little finger.
