(M’brès, August 7, 2026 | LAMINE MEDIA) A wave of anxiety and outrage is sweeping through the village of Gbouzou, a locality situated 27 kilometers from the M’brès sub-prefecture in the Nana-Gribizi region. A Chinese national died last Tuesday while working at a mining site. According to consistent accounts from local residents, the man had been operating in complete secrecy to extract gold. More than 72 hours after the tragedy, his remains have still not been transported to a morgue or the capital. The body is currently being kept in a makeshift manner inside a freezer located right at the mining site. This situation has sparked anger and panic among nearby residents, who are complaining of foul odors and fearing major health risks for the local population.
