Albert's Column...
Apparently, people at the very highest levels of government read us, just like the thousands of followers on Facebook; they must not be disappointed, given how we tear into the fat cat who cheated his way into power, but he’s not the only one in the region (Cameroon, Congo-Brazzaville...) the list goes on, and why is it that in Africa, there are only megalomaniacs in power, and illiterate idiots to vote for them. And then I was looking at a photo of Bangui from 1964—oh my God, how things have changed, and for the worse—and the fat guy in power, what has he done since 2016? Nothing, except play the international beggar. What would this country be without the financial aid from the international “partners” we criticize so much, like that Touaboye (ex-KNK) who, just to stay relevant, piles it on, and with no shame at all, the fat guy takes credit for other people’s work—“the President’s visions”—give me a break! Since independence, there isn’t even a single venue like a MJC in France for political rallies. Not a single decent stadium for international matches. Even for running water and electricity, it’s still the foreign countries that have to step in—apart from unclogging the sewers and Touadéra’s empty rhetoric, what good is this country, which, by the way, is one of the poorest in the world?
