Albert Yaloké Mokpeme is spouting nonsense

(Bangui, July 30, 2026 | LAMINE MEDIA) Returning to the remarks made by Albert Yaloké Mokpeme—Minister-Advisor for Communication and Spokesperson for the Presidency—last Tuesday before a gathering of journalists: while he addressed several burning issues, he also spouted a heap of falsehoods. This was particularly true regarding Am Dafock in the north, near the Sudanese border. He speaks of "silence from the guns"—and of course there is silence, you absolute moron; the mercenaries have left, leaving only death and desolation in their wake. Yet they could return—that is, at any rate, the population's fear. In the meantime, the FACA did not flee the fighting, and Russian mercenaries are parading through the town, which remains on edge; so much for "calm." He may well proclaim: "You know there is a ministry in charge of this, with a delegated ministry. We are working in collaboration with our partners and allies, with the FACA, and with MINUSCA. Things are progressing very well"—yet Am Dafock lives in fear.
